You can be sure of having made the right choice with this study course! You will be studying in a highly modern and state-of-the art environment in Hamm or at our new study location Rhineland in Leverkusen, right next to the two major cities Cologne and Düsseldorf.

If you are unsure whether you will be able to come to Germany this October, rest assured that you can start your course on time. All our lectures are still taking place even under the current difficult circumstances. You can access them from anywhere – even if you are not yet in Germany!

In the winter semester 2020 you will have the unique opportunity to complete your first semester in a digital format, with plenty of room for reflection and individual support. You will be able to follow the lectures taking part in Germany online, in the form of live and interactive video chats together with students from all over the world! And at the right time for you, you can seamlessly continue your studies in Germany. Come and meet all your professors and fellow students in person. And of course, experience student life in Germany!

So your mandatory tasks to study at our university are:
1. Apply at our university via the application portal (as soon as possible)
2. Sign the contract and send it back to us (as soon as possible)
3. Pay whole fees for full-time course in advance (as soon as possible)
4. Choose digital format, if required (as soon as possible or until Aug. 31th 2020)

Only if you decide to start your studies in a digital format (let us know as soon as possible), we will refund you 1,500 € as soon as you arrive in Germany!

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree (e.g. Diploma) in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent subject.

Additionally, we require proof of proficiency in English (for example IELTS 6.5, a TOEFL score of at least 600 (pbT) / 80 (ibT) or other proof such as through an interview). No test required for students from countries with English as the official language in education.

Important information: Please note your country-specific visa deadlines in order to start studying in Germany. We can only guarantee you a place at the university if you have a valid visa to study in Germany. Please contact the German embassy in your home country for exact deadlines.

Regenerative energy systems will play an important role in meeting our future energy needs. Related areas range from the construction of plants and systems to business consulting to sales. The topics of sustainability and energy efficiency are not limited merely to the energy sector, however. The use of green technology in other sectors offers new opportunities, but a holistic approach will be required. Get Ready for the Future (of Energy)!

Students in our Master’s degree programme in International Business and Engineering will learn to develop solution-oriented approaches and gain an understanding of the interconnections between business, technology, and philosophy. The courses will also help to shape their understanding of macroeconomics and aid them in honing their intercultural skills.

Master’ Degree Programme in International Business and Engineering, Including Preliminary Courses (120 CPs)

Students with undergraduate degrees from engineering sciences programmes will begin their studies with a preliminary one-semester course in Business Studies. After successfully completing this course, they enter the regular Master’s degree programme.

Students with undergraduate degrees from business sciences programmes will begin their studies with a preliminary one-semester course in Technical Essentials. After successfully completing this course, they enter the regular Master’s degree programme.

    • Courses: Business Theory & Research, Business Law, Market Analysis, Business Startup, Marketing & Sales, Project I
  • Module 3+4: Business Essentials II

Preliminary course technical essentials:

  • Module 1+2: Technical Essentials I
    • Mathematics for Engineers I+II, Material Sciences, Mechanics

Our academic year is divided into eight blocks of five weeks each. These blocks build on one another with regard to content. Studies begin with a 14-days introductory module. Targeted learning is offered from day one with a university-wide preparatory phase to acquire basic study skills.

Following successful completion of our Master’s degree programme, graduates will be prepared to take on management responsibilities in a variety of different business and technical fields as well as in the field of technical and economic development.

The dual focus on two core areas of competency that are of growing importance and have a broad spectrum of various applications opens a wide range of potential career options. The resulting flexible professional profile is enhanced by good language skills and experience working in both national and international contexts. In an increasingly globalized professional world, our graduates will have the ability to evaluate sustainable technical projects in accordance with current business standards.

This degree programme is the only one of its kind offered in Germany. The curriculum is based on current and future requirements of fast-growing industries and the labour market. The length of the degree programme will vary depending upon students’ academic backgrounds:

  • Graduates with a degree in the engineering sciences: 4 semesters (including the preliminary course in business studies)
  • Graduates with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management: 3 semesters
